From the Artist
In my late twenties I worked at a restaurant that changed my life because it broadened my interest in the culinary arts. After working at L.J.’s and the Kat Lounge, I became a foodie, and in the Universe of celebrity chefs, I I found my heroes in those who embraced and elevated the vegetable. Though he ran a reputable steak house, Charlie Trotter was famous for accommodating vegetarians and diner’s with special dietary restrictions. (which is the precise way to my heart!)
Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about food and our inability to live without it. Food equals life. Without it, we can’t go on. It’s time for me to celebrate the food artists that changed the way I eat, think about food, and dine.
