Palisades
Angie Zimmerman-Hater
Palisades, 2020
5 H x 5 W in, Unframed
Materials: Pastel on sanded paper
From the Artist: The storm was blowing in, the sky was changing every second. Loved the lavender in the sky.
From the Curator: Growing up in my mother's studio I had always heard the word “Pastels'' thrown around but I never really understood what they were because she was mostly a painter in oil and acrylic back then. Since then I’ve learned that Pastels are essentially pigment crayons and incredibly difficult to work with because they crumble. However when done with a deft hand, they produce the most amazing delicate, ethereal images. Angie’s work is always so well executed, but this particular landscape is on my mind often. I can’t wait for someone to enjoy it as much as I do!
